SEM ranked #4 out of 1,600 public high schools across the Nation. Congratulations to SEM students, parents, faculty and staff for this outstanding accomplishment!
School of Science / Engineering Ranked #1 in State

The School of Science & Engineering and School for the Talented & Gifted ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 high schools in the state for the second straight year, according to Children at Risk, a Houston nonprofit group. Children at Risk ranked nearly 5,900 schools statewide. In North Texas, 769 elementary schools, 309 middle schools and 170 high schools across nine counties were ranked.

UIL Regional Competition Results

Congratulations to all SEM students participating at the Regional competition on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The Science team and Social Studies team placed first at the Regional meet and will advance to the State Meet. Congratulations to Josh Newton (UIL coordinator), Deanna Dove (Social Studies team coach), and Dr. Charles Tuttle (Science team coach) and all the students for a job well done!!!!
